What does “open door policy” mean?

The club is not a licensed child care facility which is one of the reasons we can be so affordable to working families, no child will be allowed to just walk out of the facility unless they have verification that their parent has authorized them to do so. Because we are not a custodial care agency, we do not have the right or responsibility to keep a child at the Club and do not assume responsibility for members when they leave the Club

How do you keep from strangers taking a child?

Adults cannot pass the registration counter.  If they do enter the Club, they must sign in and wear a visitor badge.  Our staff are extremely knowledgeable of who our parents are and who is a stranger.

My child’s iPod was stolen, what are you going to do about it?

The Boys and Girls Club of Camarillo is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Do not bring valuable items to the Club, for example, large sums of money, iPods, cell phones, jewelery, CD’s, DVD’s, portable CD/DVD players, gameboys, any expensive electronics and lock up your bicycles.
