STOMP 2011-2012 (Stomp Out Smoking)
STOMP provides an opportunity
for middle school students to be in a safe environment and have positive
interactions with local police, adult volunteers, club staff, and their peers.
We sell pizza, snacks, soda and water. There is dancing in the auditorium, with
a DJ supplying the music. We have basketball and other sports in the gym. We also have pool, bumper pool, ping pong and
foosball.
STOMP is open only to
Camarillo and Somis students in 6th through 8th grades. Admission is $10. SCHOOL PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED
Doors open at 6:45PM
(doors close at 7:30PM); event is over at 9:45PM. This event is a lock-in. If you need to leave the event before 9:45
PM, you must be picked up at the front door by a parent or guardian.
No hats, backpacks or gum
are allowed in the Club.
Deputy Crone conducts a
short educational presentation to the students at 7:30 PM lasting approximately
10-15 minutes.
Security for the dance is
provided by two Sheriff Deputies, Boys and Girls Club Youth Development
Professionals and Sheriff Explorers.
First Aid is provided by
the Sheriff Disaster Assistance Response Team.
All staff and volunteers
are cleared through a background screening process.
