WHAT DOES “OPEN DOOR POLICY” MEAN?
The Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members. However, as we are not a custodial care agency, we do not have the authority or responsibility to prevent a child from leaving the Club, nor do we assume responsibility once a member has left the premises.
Children are strongly encouraged to remain in supervised program areas. It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to instruct their child on whether they are permitted to leave the Club. We ask that parents provide written permission if their child is allowed to check themselves out.
For the safety of our members, adults are not permitted beyond the front lobby. Any adult entering the Club must sign in and wear a visitor badge. Our staff are familiar with our families and are attentive to identifying unfamiliar individuals.
LOST & FOUND ITEMS
The Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Items left at the Club will be brought to the front lobby.
Members are encouraged not to bring valuable items to the Club, including large sums of money, iPods, cell phones, jewelry, CDs, DVDs, portable CD/DVD players, Game Boys, or other expensive electronics. Please also remember to securely lock bicycles while on Club grounds.
